On April 18, the first sod was turned for the creation of the "Varietable Beds" ("Bunte Beete") on the deconsecrated cemetery in Hörde. In bright sunshine, a good dozen motivated gardeners have created 5 beds in which soon potatoes, beans, zucchini, squash and of course colorful beds will grow. We will continue with the planting of potatoes on April 22nd and the construction of a bean tent on May 27th. Our partners in Congo have many garden projects where vegetables are grown on church land to provide food for the people and generate income. Inspired by these projects we first came up with the idea
