On Wednesday, October 27, 2021, the farewell service for Safari Désiré and Bibiane Ciragane, who worked as South-South employees of the United Evangelical Mission in the CDCC, was celebrated in Bolenge. When the congregations of our partner church Bolenge in the Democratic Republic Congo are asking for donations in their services, no collection bag is passed through the rows, and there is no one with a basket at the exit. No, the collection is an important part in the middle of the service: the visitors come to the front singing and dancing and put their gifts, often pennies, in various boxes or baskets.
Wenn in den Gottesdiensten unserer Partnerkirche Bolenge im Kongo gesammelt wird, dann geht kein Klingelbeutel durch die Reihen, und es steht auch niemand mit einem Körbchen am Ausgang. Nein, die Kollekte ist ein wichtiger Bestandteil mitten im Gottesdienst: Die Besucherinnen und Besucher kommen singend und tanzend nach vorne und legen ihre Gaben, oft Pfennigbeträge, in verschiedene Kisten oder Körbe.
